Consultations are by appointment.

In order to secure an appointment the procedure is to telephone the reception at the listed number (8.30am to 5.15pm).

021 4374997

Every effort will be made to facilitate any request for a particular doctor and /or a particular appointment time however in the event of high demand as close an alternative that is available will be offered.

We can facilitate later or earlier appointments where it is difficult for someone to attend during normal business hours. This is on a case by case basis.

For non-urgent consultations it is recommended that you give as much notice as possible to ensure that you may have the time of your choice.

In the event of a request for an urgent same-day appointment it may be necessary for you to see the doctor with availability remaining on that day.

It is important that you inform the receptionist if you feel you need to see a doctor urgently.

There are some consultations that are more involved than others and therefore require special consideration as more time and resources may need to be reserved to provide the desired service.

Some types of consultations are also provided by our practice nurse.

It is important that the receptionist is aware of certain details of the planned consultation to ensure that these resources are available to you. They may therefore need to ask some questions. Please note that as a patient your confidentiality is protected at all times by all staff medical and administrative.

Examples of special type consultations include:

  • Antenatal checks

  • Cervical smears

  • Childhood immunisations

  • Blood tests

  • Well Woman medical

  • Well Man medical

  • Occupational health examinations.

  • Travel vaccinations

  • Minor Surgery

Home visits:

It is always recommended that you attend the surgery if you are unwell as all the resources that you may need are available to your doctor. It also ensures that you receive appropriate treatment  promptly.

If you are ill please let the receptionist know when you call so you may be seen as soon as you arrive at the medical centre.

If you are too unwell to come to the surgery a doctor will make a house visit as soon as is possible. Please request a home visit before 11am where possible.
