How do I get a repeat prescription?

Should you require a repeat prescription for your regular medication and otherwise you are well please contact the receptionist and request this.

As there is a high demand on the doctor's time a minimum of 24 hours notice must be given so we can prepare this prescription.

Prescriptions must be collected at the surgery. It is not best medical practice to telephone prescription requests to the pharmacy.

If you are a new patient who has recently joined the practice and you require a prescription please make an appointment with the doctor so that they can be made aware of your needs and a medication review undertaken if necessary.

Please let us know iif your medication is changed, for example by a hospital specialist, or if you suffer from any side effects from your medication.

If you are on regular medications the doctor will wish to see you every 6 months at least to review your medications and how you are getting on medically. It will not be possible to continuously repeat your prescription without consultation.

If the doctor feels you need to be seen the receptionist will inform you of this and arrange a suitable appointment time.
