Safeguarding Children Policy

At Owenabue Medical Centre, in our role of providing healthcare to children we maintain our commitment to safeguard all children.

Safeguarding Children involves all of our staff members committing to providing our services to children in a manner that ensures, and at no time compromises, child safety. It also involves all staff members, clinical and non-clinical, maintaining vigilance regarding the identification of children who are unsafe and reporting concerns to the child protection agency if indicated.

Clinical staff at Owenabue Medical Centre are mandated persons and as such are required by law to report any concerns regarding child safety that they may identify.

Owenabue Medical Centre has a comprehensive Safeguarding Children policy in accordance with the Children First Act 2015.
